Speak With Confidence
Zehra Jaafar had designed a wearable product that is a guide and a reminder for young adults to portray confident, professional and respectful body language positions when they are public speaking.
When young adults fear of public speaking, they unintentionally get distracted and fidget around with anything they can their hands on. This results in portraying an unprofessional position to the audience. I am solving this problem by creating a solution that encourages them to be aware of their actions.
Before I began to prototype, it was very important for me to understand my users' fears, wants, needs and feelings. I conducted surveys as well as immense secondary research to understand what they experience when public speaking.
It's a multi-use sensor that can be worn as a necklace or a bracelet. It will initiate vibration when the user interacts with it. Once they feel the vibration, they will be reminded to fix and think about their posture in a public setting.
